Am I allowed to have my pet in my room?
Pets with Permission (must be approved by the Motel Management).
The Howard Johnson Tillsonburg has made accommodations for guests with pets. When making your reservation, please mention that you will be bringing a pet along. It is best to call ahead when travelling with a pet to our facility to guarantee that you and your pet can be accommodated properly.
Here are a few tips to help you and your pet during a visit:
Never leave your pet unattended. It may cause anxiety for your pet, and damage to your room. Examples of this type of damage would be scratching of doors or furniture, biting/chewing items in the room, and elimination. Keeping someone with your pet will ensure that no motel housekeeping staff will be bitten.
Please bring a dish for food and water.
Please walk your pet with a leash.
Please clean up after your pet. Waste containers outside of the building have been provided for this purpose.
Please keep pets off of the beds and furniture. Evidence of pets on the beds will result in a $100.00 surcharge. Sharp nails can damage these items.
Please kennel your pet at night.
Please keep noise to a minimum, especially during the early morning or evening.
Bring along a toy to keep your pet amused.
Bring along a treat for good behavior.
Take your pet on walks or spend some quality time together. This will promote the above.
